The EPEAT mobile phone category is based on the ANSI-accredited UL 110 Standard for Sustainability for Mobile Phones. The Green Electronics Council’s mobile phone category launched in July 2017 to meet government and business institutional purchasers’ growing desire to easily identify sustainable, high-performance mobile phones.
The UL 110 Standard for Sustainability for Mobile Phones is a multi-attribute standard that evaluates a mobile phone’s compliance with stringent sustainability performance criteria throughout its lifecycle.
LG V30 smartphone series
The LG V30 and V30+ phones feature an F1.6 aperture and a Crystal Clear glass lens, an FullVision OLED display, Cine Video mode for producing movie-quality videos, premium sound with advanced Hi-Fi Quad DAC and Voice Recognition.
The flagship devices also offer government-grade security for safe and secure mobile business access and are equipped to support the next generation of mobile networks. The V30 and V30+ are available now on major U.S. wireless carriers.
EPEAT registration is yet another way LG is demonstrating its dedication to quality and sustainability throughout a product’s lifecycle. Earlier this year, the company launched the LG Second Year Promise program, which gives purchasers an additional year of warranty coverage in months 13 through 24, for peace of mind during long term ownership.
With LG V30 and V30 Plus having received EPEAT registration, purchasers can also be confident that their smartphone choice is more-sustainable throughout the entire product life cycle, including design and manufacture to use and end of life.
Sprint & Verizon
LG smartphones listed on the EPEAT Mobile Phone Registry include the LG V30 mod-el LG VS996 available from Verizon, and the LG V30 model LG LS998 and LG V30+ model LG-LS998U available from Sprint.
